The Rules of Rockem Sockem Fantasy Baseball


The rules of Rockem Sockem fluctuated over the first two years, but are currently locked and loaded, here is what constitute the meat and potatoes of the league:

  • There are 12 teams
  • There are 27 Roster Spots (C, 1b, 2b, SS, 3b, CI, MI, OF, OF, OF, UTL, UTL, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, 5 Bench Slots)
  • There is 1 DL spot
  • There are 6 Offensive Catagories R, RBI, Hr, BA, OPS
  • There are 6 Defensive Catagories W, K's, CG's, Sv's, ERA, WHIP
  • There is no "pot" or prize money involved.
  • The top 3 finishers Eat for free at the year end dinner/party
  • First Place finisher chooses the location of the dinner and party.
  • First Place also drinks for free at the dinner and the party.
  • First Place finisher at seasons end wins the Rockem Sockem Cup.
  • All teams are re-drafted each March this is not a keeper league.
  • First place at the All-Star break receives some sort of prize...sometimes.
  • If there is an opening in one of the 12 manager spots in Rockem Sockem a brutal and rigorous enlisting process must be undertaken
  • If there is a tie for 3rd place both/all tied Managers eat for free.
  • The draft works in snaaaaake fashion with the 12th player having pick 13th and so on.
